That's why he was such a jerk. Had Tsubasa been an actual girl:

1) His assumtion that his "masculine hunkitude" could turn her away
from the path of lesbianism since no woman could possibly resist his
charms puts him on a Mikado level of "creepness". At least Kuno's
concern was genuine in a oblivious Kuno type way.  To paraphrase poorly
as with all my quotes, "Maiden's no! No doubt in your innocence you
have turned to each other...blah blah blah...allow me, Tatewaki Kuno to
free you form the bonds of Spinsterhood."

2) Had she fallen for him what does he do? He was never interested in
her so I guess he just...uh, dumps her? What kind of cretin comes up
with a plan like this? Women are our friends!
