>General Questions:
>
>Could the story fit in the regular Ranmaverse?
It's conceivable, yes. Nothing was overtly out of bounds of the series.
>Was anyone noticeably OOC?
>(specifically address Ranma, Akane, and Nodoka)
Might be a matter of opinion, since this fanfic had more introspection than
I've seen in many fanfics, and certainly the series. Ranma thinks a bit too
logically, I think. Akane is too mannered (I don't think she'd be that
understanding of the Girl Days, and frankly, she doesn't strike me as much of
a good sport.) Nodoka was IC, for the most part. I liked when the author
noted that she is fairly normal, except that is too "focused" or the like,
making her an idela Nerima resident.
>Were there any noticeable author biases?
Not really...
>Any favourite quotes?
This 'fic had *many* wonderful, dead-pan quotes. Here are just a couple I
liked:
1)"No, sorry, that was a different walk back. THIS walk back was
something other than uneventful."
2)"Looking deeply into the crystal, the Amazon matriarch began the
arcane chant that would open it's scrying powers. The crystal began
to glow, faintly, revealing characters, words that would tell the
elder what she needed to know.
YOU'RE SCREWED."
>Did you enjoy the fanfic?
Loved it. It's one of the funniest I've ever read. Thanks to Benzaiten and
Derian Saotome for recommending it to me!
====================
Story-specific questions:
>Would Ranma ever, in a month of Mondays, actually agree to the Girl Days?
Questionable. While he's very good at adapting, I think he might be a bit
more reluctant to spending, what was it, 3 months, as a "real" girl.
>Would Ranma ever, in a month of Mondays, actually go out with Ryouga?
Nuh uh. Or (s)he'd at least not have made such an effort to enjoy it.
>Did the author do a good job of dealing with some of the more "feminine
aspects" of >Ranma's curse? I suppose I'll be mercilessly derided if I don't
just say it - In other >words, did he deal well with the sort of stuff that
Takahashi terms "I don't think >about it, and neither should you."? (PMS,
the possibility of pregnancy, and the >like)
I thought so, but then, what do I know? : )
>Was the author's continual commentary/fourth-wall breaking distraction, or
did it >work in this case?
Thought it worked very well. Some of his funniest lines were narration.
>What did you think of the final (as of now) costume-party chaos scene at the
Kunou >estate?
I thought it felt a bit forced. The lunacy was stepped up *so much* from the
previous chapters, that it was jarring. It was a stone riot to see the
characters adopt their different guises, though.
>Just for fun, since the story is unfinished, where do you anticipate the
author will >take it from here?
This question was my way of saving face for accidentally posting an
unifinished 'fic. ^_^; Obviously Yerfburger (or whomever) will be royally
trounced in the chapter immediately following. I'm looking forward to seeing
how Ranma reacts when the Girl Days are over...
>Any other thoughts/questions?< (Forgot to post this one this time. -_-)
I was pleased that the author managed to include so many of the main/minor
characters in the story. It was nice seeing Tsubasa, and many authors tend
to ignore Konatsu. I'd definitely like to see Tarou enter the story. ^_^
That's all! Since the 'fic is "To Be continued with a vengeance..." I'll try
to inform those of you who participated when it is updated.
