Um... this is incorrect. Her first flashback appearance was in 'Ranma
Meets Mother' TV episode (episode 142/second to last TV episode)/chapter
(vol 22) of the anime/manga respectively. Despite Viz's release methods,
the OVAs came AFTER the TV episodes in Japan.
