I
am working at a camp this summer and a lot of the kids are really into
Pokemon (a series I still have not seen) The most important things is that
the kids actually know Pokemon comes from Japan. Many of them have Japanese
Pokemon cards so I think that we have a good chance of Otakuzing a decent
part of the younger generations. >>
theres not a chance in hell that we will be able to do that
one reason is needed and only one
the kids are convinced that it is only a cartoon, that what they are watching
is the original and that nothing has been cut or changed, if we were to give
them it subbed they would not like it nearly as much due to the "changes"
that we made to the dialog and the stuff that "we" added for teh subbed
release.
same reason why if you give a kid sailor moon ronin warriors or DBZ in its
original form they wont like it as much. the newest gen is convinced of the
role of "cartoons"
beleive me i work at a comic shop that sells pokemon cards(both versions) and
i hear many many many freakin times that the children think its from japan
but the english version is the "real" version.
