Chi-boy:
>(i.e. today a lady called and complained her @$$ off about being
>overcharged by $2.50. O.K. no problem. I can understand that.
>But she would not take a free movie on her account worth $3.50.
>Even after having the fact that 3.5 is more than 2.5 repeatedly
>pointed out she still didn't want it. She expressly wanted 2.5
>which we don't give. Uuughhh!)
Oh, but you see it's the principle of the thing. Just like that
woman (she most certainly was NOT a lady) at Kmart who came
unglued when the table kit she was buying rang up at $29.99
instead of $29.97, and rather than accept the offer of 2 cents in
cash from the customer behind her in the line, she made me get my
supervisor, call for a price check to confirm that it was in fact
supposed to be $29.97, and override the incorrect price in the
computer, a process which requires that a form be filled out, for
crying out loud. Her exact quote: "It's the principle of the
thing."
Believe me, three years working at Kmart gave me enough stupid
customer stories, both first-hand and second-hand, to last a
lifetime of anecdote-telling.
