Don, on why Ranma doesn't like Shampoo:
"Ranma's not trying to breed a generation of super martial artist.
That's the Amazons. He's only concerned with him being strong."

That's true (him only concerned about himself being strong, as opposed
to others). In fact (I am yet again going to say that I relate with
Ranma in many aspects, including this one), while he enjoys the
challenge of someone who can match him in battle, he is someone who has
to be on top. When someone's better than him, he gets rather agitated,
and has a hard time accepting it. Again, I relate (darned visual arts
Claude Watson majors...). Although, I think that if he had a child, he
would want the child to be the best martial artist. I don't know about
a "breed" of "super-martial artists," but he would want his child (or
children), as an individual (or individuals) to be the best.

Albert:
"though I might be able to afford it if I
stopped spending money on anime for 6 months ;)"

Ooh... That's tough. I'm in a similar situation, I want to go on a
school trip in March to Greece and Italy, but, three thousand... ouch.
Don't know how much I can get my parents to pay. Not three thousand,
that's for sure. So I gotta save. But, I just remembered a place that
said they could get Ranma subs in for fifteen bucks apeice (Fifteen
Canadian, that's, what, thirty-six cents US, eh?)... Dang.

"The anime suffers from a certain amount of filler (as well as bad
drawing somewhere in the middle),"

Oh, my goodness, yes. I remember some of the Cantonese dubs I saw, and
the artwork was AWFUL! I wonder why... maybe the animators were upset
about something, and said, "Oh yeah? Well, we're just gonna draw real
crappy-like! How do ya like THEM apples?" Either that, or for that
season they were running some kinda workshop for students, and when I
say students, I'm not talking Sheridan College, or Claude Watson visual
arts majors, if ya get my drift.

hOkey (go leafs), that's all from me for now, I thinks.
