How about that Ranma never loved the girl in the first place?

Someone else before it:
> >>And what does Shampoo have in her favor? She's sexy, she's smart, she
> >can >cook, and she's strong.

Roderick answered but I will too. You may think Shampoo's sexy but
Ranma certainly doesn't see it that way. The only time he talked about
a good trait of Shampoo is that if only Akane is open like her.
Shampoo's only real advantage in the series is that she's
straightforward and open, most able to admit her feelings freely. Ukyou
& Akane both have trouble with that. Kodachi, well, she might be open
but then...

Smart? Um, no. Manipulative & cunning maybe, but that's not what
Ranma wants in a girl. He even said it himself one time... compared to
Nabiki who manipulates him around to the violent Akane, he'd rather be
with Akane. Ranma's not exactly all that smart, academically speaking.

Do you marry someone just because they can cook? Sheesh.

Ranma's not trying to breed a generation of super martial artist.
That's the Amazons. He's only concerned with him being strong. As
Shampoo and Akane and just about any of the major female's martial arts
level is way behind him, it doesn't do him any good whatsoever to train
with them anyway.
