Well, I was hoping for more people to try my quiz, but Kitiara got me.
I am the epitome of all evil. I wanted to see if anyone would catch
onto the fact that only three quotations were actually from Ranma 1/2
(of the five that were not from Rent). I got started on Rent, and
wanted to see what people would try to answer with. Here are the
results:

Yuffie:
> 1. "We agreed on a fee, a thousand..."
> Random guess here, Nabiki?
>
Exactly what I was expecting people to say.

> >14. "Maybe you just make her sick!"
> I know this one, Azusa!
>
Yepperdoodles! You get one point for naming the character, but you
didn't say when.

> >Bonus: Five of these questions are "special." One bonus point for each
> >one you figure out, and ten bonus points if you can tell me why! And of
> >these, three are *extra* special. You get two additional bonus points
> >if you can find these and explain.
>
> At least one of them is from our assigned fanfic this week!!
>
Sorry, no. But you get five points for trying, for a total of 6!

Benzaiten:

> The lady drives a hard bargain.
>
You have no idea.

> >3. "Oooh! What a cute puppy!"
>
> Some girl, about the puppy upon which Shampoo demonstrated
> the instant Nan-Nii-Chuan powder.
>
Actually, no. This *is* a Ranma 1/2 quotation. It's Akane, when she
sees Checkers and her puppies on TV. "Oooh, what a cute puppy! I wish I
could hold one!" Ryoga then takes advantage of the situation to invite
Akane over to his house ("Would you come to my puppies to hold my
house?").

> >12. "Judging by the rigidity of the noodles, and the
> >crispness of the withered green onions..."
>
> Ryoga, finding the lunch his mother had the foresight to
> leave for him.
>
Right. You get two points; one for identifying the character, one for
the situation. You'd get three, but you didn't tell which story.

> >13. "And I shall jump into the Cursed Pool of the Drowned
> >Liza Minnelli Impersonators."
>
> Could it be? Could it? <checks comic book> Yes! *Pinky* said
> that! In the Pinky and the Brain issue where they parodied
> Ranma! Oh, it's good to be alive!
>
Yep! Three points for you!

> >14. "Maybe you just make her sick!"
>
> Azusa, in reply to Mikado's wistful ponderings about why
> Akane refused his kiss.
>
Right again. Three!

This gives you a total of eight points!

And our winner, Kitiara correctly identified every quotation, except for
#3, the puppy one, and #4, which was: "You finished that right up! Did
you like it?" This one is from Calvin & Hobbes. Calvin's dinner, the
usual green slop, starts reciting Shakespeare (Hamlet's "to be or not to
be" monologue), stabs itself with a fork, and lies still for a few
panels. Then gets up an starts singin. In the last panes, Calvin's
plate is empty, and Calvin has a somewhat pained expression on his
face. His mother says, "You finished that right up! Did you like it?"
and Calvin says "Lets not ever have this again." So Kitiara, you earned
39 points! Well done, fellow Rent-head! Yes, Adam Pascal is hot, but I
never got to see him. I saw Luther Creek, Dean Balkwill, and Carrie
Fisher, but not Adam Pascal. Where'd you see him?
The bonus, the five "special" quotations, were: The ones that weren't
from Rent. The three REALLY special ones were the ones that were
actually from Ranma 1/2. I'm so mean.
