Remember, in Japan comics are usually produced on a weekly basis in magazines
the size of telephones made with recycled newspapers. People usually through
out the magazines as soon as they get the next issue. You are suppossed to
keep the tankobons. There are also about 20 to 40 series in one issdue.
In America comics are releaed in one series per comic book once or twice a
month. People usually keep the past issues because no co,pilations exist
usually.
Viz and the other translators of manga release like Americans but compile
stories into graphic novels like the Japanese.
