Well gee...that *does* sound hideously annoying and 
stupid!  I remember, though, you're right -- it was 
Starfox 64.

I've gotten some pretty good promo vids from Nintendo, 
actually.  One of them showed the inside of Nintendo 
HQ....  The one Square sent was cool, too.  It had 
interviews with the game crew of FFVII and previews 
for Bushido Blade, Saga Frontier, and Parasite Eve.
