It might be just Brad's interpretation of the voice itself, more often
than the actual anime representation of Mousse. Mousse in the sub, while
still slightly pathteic, at least has some semblance of manhood, while the
dub sounds quite dorky, IMO. I have no real gripe with it, but I am
curious as to why Viz would want to portray Mousse in that kind of
fashion.
Either way, sub or dub, it's probably safe to assume it to be a big change
from the manga. Mousse has the pathos in the manga, but is at the very
least not so "nerdy" about it. Most of his plans, especially in the later
manga, reflect some nice innovation on his part...
