Hmmmm... didn't notice that part... Guess that means I'll have t' watch it
again. =)

Actually, it cleared up (or, rather, answered) a thought I had when the
5th Child told Rei "you're just like me" -- just reconstructed beings made
from cloning with the "consciousness" of Rei (and the 5th Child) sealed
inside Central Dogma.  (All the Rei clones in the tank are just "spare
parts" with no soul.)

Could be that all the mecha fanatics watched the series waiting for a
climatic battle against the Angels in the end and instead frustratingly
watched as instrumentality went into action.  (That's the way a mecha-nut
friend of mine saw it.  He liked the previous episodes more. =)

Hey... I thought that was me, too.  Or, rather, my VCR, which was acting
up at the time. =)  (Neat Trick: IIRC, at the end of the dub for Eva 0:6,
turn up the volume really really loud -- and you can listen to the
previews of the next three eps in Japanese! =)

Well, 0:13's the end of the series, and then there's the two movies.
(Personal Thought: Genesis 0:<whatever> kinda sounds like a "prequel" for
the Bible, dontcha think? =)

I think it was used to drive home the point that this was a (pretty funny)
alternate reality that Shinji could have lived in... I thought it was
kinda cute. =)

Well, I wouldn't say that... most of his hatred went towards his father at
that time.  Also, Shinji was kinda distant towards Misato near the end
(due to Misato's nice little breakdown).  Never hear too much about Ikagi
and Shinji near the end, tho. =)

I kinda liked the philosophy "crap", actually. =)

It's kinda neat how they described reality as needing all those
constraints in order to perceive the world better.  *sighs* My head's
kinda clouded at this point (blasted schoolwork =), so I can't remember
all the things I thought about after watching ep. 26... *shrugs* Oh, well.
Less philosophy from me is a good thing. =)

*nods* True.  That's why I was kinda hoping that D&R and EoE would explain
better the events between Shinji killing the 5th Child and
Instrumentality, but from what I've gleamed from Shoryu is that they just
do a rewrite of everything. (=/

Well, they _did_ kinda go into detail through most of the Instrumentality
eps -- as to the thought processes and everything.  I wish they could've
gone with a couple of more eps to show how Misato, Asuka, Rei, and
Shinji's dad fared through Instrumentality with the in-depthness that they
handled Shinji.
