The big problem between anime producers and Takahashi is
that she gives life in her characters. You can observe
that in UY, but the most evident one is Maison Ikkoku.
The character designer of the anime, Akemi Takada, did a
formidable work since the characters still have some
personality in the anime. Then put the musics... and you
have the magic touch. Takahashi sensei can do that without
music. Do you feel the same after reading the manga and
watching the anime? In Ranma's case, I bet no.
And now, for something completely different...
How can EVA end at number 13? There are 26 japanese tapes,
13 LD but they aren't all released yet, in France we'll
have 9 tapes (8 released), and there surely aren't 13 DVD.
What version are you watching? BTW, if you ever saw the
opening or ending theme, you'll agree that there is nudity
in EVA. (and don't tell me you close your eyes to hear the
song in best conditions).
