Hello, this is my first post to the ML... my name is Megumi. I have been
on the ML a while now and I am just starting to feel cpmfortable with the
nature of the thing, so I figured now would be a good time to post a
message...

Actually I am responding to a post about why Ranma and anime in general
will not become popular in the US. I am a girl, as you might have guessed,
who is strongly into anime and I know that it can get very vrey pricey in
the states, because of its limited populartity.... but the fact is, I am
glad that it has not become too popular!!

I have watched many things that I love become popular in the US and it
totally sickens me to see things i love cheapened by the masses... I am
sorry if it sounds stupid, but even though popularity would decrease prices
I am content to let anime be one of the few things I love that hasn't been
destroyed by people that claim a right to it without understanding it.

This post might sound overly serious, so now let me just inform you that I
am not usually that serious.. and there's a lot of Ranma on my web page
which I would appreciate some visits too! :) hehe. The URL is
http://catcafe.home.ml.org and it's called the Cat Cafe... I have been to a
lot of pages with that name and I haven't really found any I like too much,
but I sorta like mine :) It's generally a shrine to anime cats, and guess
which series has a lot of cats due to a certain lead characters fear??? You
guessed it!

Later Darlings
