Heya!

<I read another story where Akane was sick, dying from the same illness
her mother died from, and the author portrayed the angst and sad feelings
of Ranma so well, I cried. I don't like to cry, but the writing was so
moving,
it touched a part of me, and that was good writing, you know? Then there
are the ones that are not nearly as serious, but silly and make you laugh
out
loud. They're just great fun!>
Ooh, I can't agree with you more! Good fanfics are, IMO, supposed to make
you react...not just phisically, but for example makes you cry and laugh. I
love a good cry after a particularily sad fic, and yet love to remember a
happy fanfic that makes me laugh whenever I think about it. I also love
those which make you learn something, like how important it is to sieze the
chance when you've got it, this is shown in many Ranma 1/2 fics.
<Bad, IMO, are the ones that are written badly or are too trite.
And, believe it or not, I don't like it too be too mushy. If Ranma and
Akane
are acting gushy around each other, I just gag. That is not them, IMO. >
I've discovered that we are very alike! Ah, I am not alone... I don't like
it when fanfic authors just take 2 characters and then make them have a
mushy time, ugh...! I believe that it's possible to write a good fic
without the lemon, which I've seen in most Ranma 1/2 fics, they over do it.
Sad, really.
<The chapter with the Snow Queen having a life as a mortal
was the first chapter I read, and I thought it was beautiful, and
sad. I think it's written well, but the story obviously is not to your
tastes.>
Ah? I've only come to part 5...okay, so it's kinda boring now, plus I've
already read something else with a similar plot, but since it's got an
award for the best Ranma 1/2 fic, I'm gonna continue reading it. Want to
hear my daily reports? ^^; Just kidding.
Gotta sleep now, nighty night! ^^;
