what's the cuarto?

I took Latin in HS, Spanish in college.  Cant remember anything.  And I want 
to learn Japanese???

Maybe it's easier if you WANT to learn it?  I remember more Japanese from 
watching SHOGUN than I do 2 years of spanish classes!  wakarimasu-ka?
(I did have to look up the spelling! ;-)   )
