[Roderick and Eve have just finished up the wormhole generator, and now
they're taking a break. Well, actually, Roderick is taking a break and Eve
is just generally looking around, doing nothing in partpcular. When you're a
solid hologram, you don't need much rest. Roderick pulls out another can of
soda, and answers some more mail on his notebook, with Eve peering over his
shoulder.]

Yeah, they just don't fit together well as a romantic couple, imo, and
besides, the KTF thinks so too. ^_^

[Roderick sends the messages, puts away the notebook and empty soda can and
walks over to the console.]

Roderick: Okay, now to test the generator.

[Roderick activates the generator, causing a portal to open a few feet away
at a 'gateway' built just for it.]

Roderick: Eve, I'm setting it to open a wormhole to one of the lower levels,
throw something into the portal, if this works right, it should come back
out since I'm aiming it 'up'.

Eve: *giggles* Okay! *Heads towards Roderick*

Roderick: *takes a step back* NOT ME!!!!

Eve: *still giggling* Okay.

[Eve picked up the empty soda can, crushes it into a ball, and throws it
into the portal. It came speeding back out a few minutes later. (It was a
_really_ hard throw) Eve was ready for it, as she was decked out in a
baseball outfit complete with cap and a baseball glove. She caught the
returning aluminium ball and bowed to an imaginary audience with very real
sounding applause and holographic roses raining down on her.]

Roderick: Showoff!

Eve: Bbbbpppppttttt!!!
