up in two dictionaries(AOL's and Random House Webster's College

know what it means. So I implore you.........what is it?>>

<It's like when you're debating Ranma 1/2 and you bring in 'evidence'
like 'Takahashi-sensei said this and that.' That's not actually in the
manga (in the text); it's referring to an outside source that doesn't
really exist in the world of Ranma, so it's called 'meta-textual.' I
think
'meta' is Greek or something...>

Are you sure you meant "metatextual"? Or did you maen "metaphysical"
which has one of its' definitions as "abstract or abtruse (hard to
understand)"?

Not sure what the prefix meta- means, but I believe you are correct
in saying that it is Greek in origin... but it seems that Frank has
answered this question before I could do any research to it...
