Look, in defense of Aoi, I'd like to say that he and I said the same exact
thing regarding the RP stuffs and the one-liners you were posting (In fact,
if I remember correctly, our posts came one after the other). He just
happened to have a little less tact than I did. ^_^

It is fine that one can say something to someone else on the ML, but what
Aoi was objecting to was that it was SPAM n' stuff, which was
extensive in nature. He has the right to tell people to cut it down a bit, just
as they have the right to actually post it...

<WHAT IS E-MAIL FOR? WE ALL LOVE RANMA, WHY ELSE WOULD WE
BE ON THIS
LIST. DOES IT MATTER IF EVERY MESSAGE ISN'T ABOUT RANMA?>

As Don might say, "This is the _Ranma_ ML. Why else are we on this list?
To learn about Ranma." This is followed by the assertion that SPAM has
no place on the ML.

However, I don't have such an strong view as Don's on SPAM, and I don't
think Aoi does, either. In his post, the above quote wasn't what Aoi was
trying to say (i.e. cut out all SPAM on the ML entirely. This is an
impossiblity). He was trying to say "cut it down" or take it to private mail.
He was making a legit request.

I agree that all the posts don't have to be about Ranma, but it's also my
belief that there are certain limits (however thin they are) about posting
SPAM to the ML. I have mixed feelings about RP SPAM since I ocasionally
RP myself, but I do believe it shouldn't have to be done to the point to
where it outnumbers the Ranma-related stuffs (I haven't really seen an
instance of this in a while - the last example was the whole WWII
Japanese/Hiroshima/America/history thing back in June). I don't really
mind the posts even if this happens on the ML - I'll just skim past them
without a second thought. But there are other people who do not or
cannot do this and have to look through the stuff to find something
Ranma-related. These people are those you have to keep in mind when
posting these things, too.

So, I don't really mind the RP SPAM or SPAM too much, it just shoudln't be
allowed to rule over the Ranma-related stuff or not have some kind of
harness or a restricting of people's right to say "cut it down".

< THERE'S MORE TO LIFE
THAN RANMA. ( HARD TO IMAGINE, I KNOW) AOI, I THINK U HAVE AN
ATTITUDE THING
GOING ON, AND YOU NEED TO THINK ABOUT WHAT U SAY BEFORE U
SAY IT.
- STILL PISSED OFF AT U, MARY-SAN>

Aoi, I think, doesn't really have an attitude problem. He merely was
straightforward and blunt about the posting one-liners and the SPAM. In
fact, he's always been straightforward and blunt, and that's fine by me.

I implore you not to make such snap judgements about people, especially
since you have only been here a very short while. I'd practice what you
preach about the thinking before the saying. (NOTE: This is not a flame,
just a piece of advice. ^_^)

Frank
