Well, obviously someone already did contemplate this idea thoroughly.
there's a fanfic out there somewhere that has akane and ranma
switch genders and then get married that way. It's quite interesting,
esp. since the author has Ranma as very feminine, and Akane masculine.
It all works out, and they still love each other.
