And I answered it. :)

Yeah, but if you're going to try to actively seek out a good guy in Ranma
1/2, Ryoga is a much better candidate than Ranma is.

>I think diversions are fair game in combat.

They could be, but the problem is that they require no skill. The purpose
of many of the fights is to determine skill, and using diversions like that
makes it an unfair contest, if only one combatant uses them.

>Don't know about that. The BT is pretty useless in combat. Other than

Depends on the terrain. If they were fighting with Ranma's back to a big
rocky overhang... ;)

He's got various types of attacks, even if they aren't all 'special' - i.e.
he didn't learn them from Cologne.

Let's take a look at his arsenal:

-the bandannas. Long range projectile weapon, somewhat skin to a chakram,
and he's got an unlimited number of them.
-the umbrella. Like a cudgel up close, and can be used as sort of a
boomerang/top combination when thrown. Good all-around weapon.
-the belt. Used like a sword, and is sharp enough to easily cut through
the metal pole that Akane and Ranma were on top of.
-shishi houkoudan. Strong forward chi blast, and the complete version is
strong enough to put a six foot deep crater in the ground.
-basic hand to hand. Not too impressive speed, but strong as hell.

Did I miss anything?

>Akane know about Ryouga/P-chan.

Yeah, that's my opinion, too.

>Can she beat Ukyo Hand to hand? Doubt it.

'she' being Akane, the answer is 'no.' She being Nabiki, the answer is
'definitely not.' :)
