The real question is less ambigious than the subject line.  
Anyway, I noticed this almost immediately when I first started reading 
manga and watching anime of Ranma, but layout and drawings in manga and 
anime are reversed, as in if manga has Ranma standing in left and Akane 
in the right, the anime will have Akane standing in left and Ranma on the 
right.  I noticed the same thing with Maison Ikkoku also.  So the obvious 
question is...  "Why?"

	And for the trivia-minded of us all.  Name one other character in 
Takahashi universe (manga and anime)aside from Ranma's immediate family who 
has the family name of Saotome.
