        I agree with you on both counts. This ML is for fun, don't take
anything too personally, but don't be too cruel either when flaming. It's
interesting to hear everones opinion and here is the place to put it. 
        True, Akane is quick tempered and beats up on Ranma most of the day,
but she does have a sweet, sensitive side to her. Notice how she almost
starts to open the flood gates whenever Ranma IS kind to her. She's always
counting on him to rescue her. But again, all of this is part of the comedic
effect of the story, which is partly why I'm so drawn to Ranma 1/2.  Just
something I thought I'd add.
