	Well, "Akane and Her Sisters" wasn't based on the any story from the 
manga.  So it is probably safe to say that there is a good chance that the story
would deviate from the standard Ranma story.  Yes, I would tend to think Ukyou 
realize that if she kill Akane then Ranma will never talk to her again.  I think
even Shampoo eventually figured this out.  Ukyou loves Ranma and she in a sense
is also Ranma's best friend.  Ukyou's methods to win Ranma are usually the least
destructive and she is fairly patient and kind, compared to other characters.  
She tried to win Ranma's love or try to separate Ranma and Akane, instead of 
trying to get rid of/kill Akane, unlike some other "fiancees" of Ranma.

	Most of the OAVs that was based on the manga I seen so far are 
reasonably accurate to the story.  However, "Akane and her sisters" was not 
based on the manga.  Therefore, like I said before, it is probably not a real 
reliable source for Ukyou's character.  After all, the manga is the most 
reliable source to understand character personality and motivation.  From what I
have read, I suspect Ukyou sort of knows that Ranma really likes Akane.  
However, that doesn't mean she will stop trying to win Ranma's love.  Whenever 
Ukyou has a chance to separate Ranma and Akane or to win Ranma's love, Ukyou 
wouldn't hesitate to try it.
