Does anybody have a copy of my So-Called FAQ? It has all the locations
of all the places like how to subscribe and post to the Ranma M.L., the
locations of the FTP sites, etc. I'm thinking that it needs to be
upgraded, and I deleted my copy, thinking that it wasn't important.

Anybody notice that as of Volume 28 in the manga, the covers changed for
Ranma 1/2? Four things: No longer says "Shonen Sunday Comics" on the
front or back. Continuation of the front cover design is no longer
present on the back. Contents section on the back is now in a field of
color. Finally, the front cover art has improved PLENTY.

This is what I can interpret from Volume 31. BIG spoilers ahead, you
anti-spoiler, silly folks. Please correct me or help me wherever. I
don't have any translators on-line at the moment, so I'm just looking at
the pretty pictures and guessing.

Part 1-3: Rakkyousai (Lucky), Happousai's old "friend" has returned to
give the cast more Hell. He is also a total pervert, and is just as
stupid as Happy when it comes to naked girls. Apparently, he is skilled
with martial arts calligraphy -- his ink can bind opponents, blow-dart
brushes, etc. He also can do the Happou-dai-kirin. He is looking for a
treasure which Happy stole from him. Apparently, the two act like
friends, but really don't like each other. In flashback scenes, each sees
themselves as tall, handsome men, while the other is a short, stupid
looking dweeb.
New Jusenkyou curse: Lucky appears to have fallen into something like
"spring of drowned young man", since he looks as old as Happy when
he is hit with hot water.
The secret treasure turns out to be: an ink block. It appears to
cause ink butterflies to fly around. It's purpose: to get imprints of
female bosoms.
To appease the two perverts, Ranma finally gives them imprints of
bosoms. Akane can't believe that Ranma would do such a thing. It turns
out that Ranma had used the bosom of a tanuki statue!

Part 4-5: We get to see Shirokuro, again! None of her puppies have aged
in the story. However, the calendar in the story says CLEARLY 1994,
meaning that all the cast members are frozen in time, or have eaten
mermaid's flesh. Hilarious points: Ryouga plays the "she loves me, she
loves me not" game with a mop. A handy arrow with a caption "she loves me
not" points to the last thread on the mop...
As Ryouga wallows in his depression, Akari appears with Katsunishiki!
Like Shampoo, they appear without using a door. Ryouga and Akari have
apparently been "pen pals". (Unbelievably funny points: Katsunishiki
means "cutlet ball", and he has a picture of one on his smock. Ryouga
starts a fire from the friction of his finger nervously drilling into the
carpet. During a "romantic scene", Ranma has once again decided to eat
chips as he stares at the two of them. Ryouga, once again, boots him.)
Akane appears! Ryouga probably had a date or something with her; she
has brought flowers. Ryouga goes insane trying to pull of an Orange Road
by trying to date ("entertain", for you purists) two girls at once without
the other noticing.
Ranma decides to end it, by dressing up as the maid. As always, Ryouga
gets fooled completely. I think Ranma tries to get Akane to see Ryouga
cheating on her, but it fails. Best part: Katsunishiki dressing like
Akane. Maid (Ranma): "Kiyaaaaaa! Akane-sama!!" (Hint: Ranma gets booted
soon afterwards.)
Ryouga discovers that his destiny may be fated toward Akari, as he does
yet another stupid game to pick his love. Akari and Akane have a nice
party, as Ryouga can't figure out what to do.

(I'm getting a little tired, so I'll try to shorten the summaries. The
curious may write to me for further details.)

Part 6: A stupid new magical item: an "ai" umbrella. Any two people
that get caught underneath it fall in love. Ranma, Akane, Kunou, and
Ukyou all compete to get the umbrella. Naturally, there's a scene where
Ranma (male) and Kunou accidentally get under the umbrella, and gross out
the entire school. In the end, Ranma and Akane get under the umbrella,
only to have it rain. Apparently, the umbrella doesn't last very well in
water!

Part 7: Hinako-sensei's swimming lessons. There is a translation for this
story already. I like how Hinako uses the "ki" punch to travel around the
pool. Interesting points: Hinako in her transformed body is no longer as
busty.  She's just average now, which is a MAJOR disappointment.  ^_-;;

Part 8: The Neko Hanten gets a shipment of noodles. They apparently
taste worse than Akane's cooking. How do you get rid of them? By having
an eating contest! Winner gets the long-sought heavenly supreme power
noodle. Funny points: Ranma after eating the toxic stuff has
hallucinations with Ryouga and Kunou.
Proof that Mousse is a total idiot: He yells, "I SHALL EAT THE
HEAVENLY SUPREME POWER NOODLE MYSELF!!" and he gets immediately blasted.
Anyway, Ranma gets to eat it. But, it doesn't make him stronger (of
course). There's an unfunny joke here, but I can't tell what it is.

Part 9-10: Ranma accidentally mangles a hakata-like doll. The doll
possesses Akane's body, and apparently tries desperately/hilariously to
kill Ranma. Akane is trapped in the doll's body. The story is pretty
easy to understand. I didn't understand the ending, however.
Interesting points: Vampire Princess Miyu fans will love this story of
the vengeful doll. It reminds me of Episode #2 of VPM, especially when
the doll uses her sash of her kimono. ^_^ Kasumi has her hair in a bun.
She has to stop messing with that hair!!! ^_-

Part 11: Ranma and the rest of Fuurinkan High is trapped on an island.
Apparently, you can't eat certain things there, or you'll get the deadly
Hawaii Honeymoon Virus. The males of the Fuurinkan High eat some fruit
unwittingly. They instantly transform into camera-toting, lei-wearing,
loudly-clothed honeymooners. No girl is safe! They capture Ranma and do
their worst: rub suntan lotion on her, take stupid photos, etc. I didn't
understand what kouchou had, I guess it was a cure. The story didn't seem so
funny, unless the verbal jokes were really killer.
Interesting notes: Ranma introduces herself to Hinako, so she knows
about his secret, I think. Kouchou throws real grenades, not pineapple
bombs in this story.
