From the people I know, most Anime fans are just that, Anime fans. Manga is pretty much a whole different world from Anime. You can't even find more than 2 links at Anipike about Hunter X Hunter despite the series having some unbelievable popularity. Mention Kenshin to my Anime Club and most people will know it, but most of them have never heard of Hunter X Hunter whose manga has about 3X more fan feedback for volume 6's favorite character contest than Kenshin ever did at any point of the manga. I can assure you most anime fans probably have never even heard of the most 5 or so popular manga series I see in stores regularly. Anime and manga are just two different worlds. > When the DVDs start coming out this summer for season 6 and the prior > seasons, I will definitely buy each disk. Well, they've to make the series cheaper somehow, because $30 per 2 episodes or whatever is simply too much when you've 150 or whatever episodes.
