Personally I believe Ranma eventually develops the HSH so all he needs > in hot ki. Nope. He needed a spiral against Herb and against Saffron, and those are at very late stages of the story. In fact Saffron is at the end. He doesn't get better at the technique. It's just that it gets really boring having to go through a spiral or whatever and it's quicker to just go HSH, bang, end of story. It gets tedious to describe all the movements of HSH when the focus of the story is not on fighting (such as the 2 Ranma story, the other Happosai story, etc...) HSH can be thought of as the instant KO punch kind of stuff in those stories. Don, who finds getting smacked across screen by Iselia's Air Slash and making 10 consecutive Guts roll to survive is really cool... as long as you survive!
