You can't really compare the first three with the last 2 episodes,
cause that the first 3 and last 2 are almost completely different from each
other. The first 3 is about how K1 and Belldandy have to get through all
the troubles and mishaps to "settle" down. But this presented a problem, K1
knew himself too (shown in 4). This was that Belldandy was a goddess and he
was just a "mere" mortal. Then 4 and 5 fixed it up by showing that they
were meant for each other ever since they were children.
I think it was due to the shortness of the OVAs that they had to
have everything happening so fast (I guess that was part of the emotional
thing, how paradise was lost in mere days). I thing I would have been
better if they made it alot longer. The OVAs wasn't long enough like the
manga to show how much K1 and Belldandy loved each other. Although they
said that they have been together for nine months, i think that all of us
would feel that K1 and Belldandy loved each other as much as they did if the
OVA was a couple more episodes longer. But you've got to admit, they did a
pretty good job of cutting down literally thousands of pages of incidents
into a 2hr 40min movie.
I personaly liked 2, 4 and 5, cause they are the most touching ones
(actually, I like the manga alot better)! K1 tried anything and everything
(except the direct apporach) to show that he loved Belldandy dearly. He
"reassures" this the two main things he did in 4 and 5: Working day and
night so he could keep his promise, and by simply regaining his memories and
keeping his promise.
