Microsoft released an add-on to Windows 95 called Microsoft Plus! Mostly
it's a user-interface sorta thing, included is a thing called "Desktop
Themes." Basically, it's a way to change all your sounds, desktop colors,
fonts, background, screen saver, mouse pointers, etc. all at once according
to some "theme." For example, the "Inside your Computer theme" feature a
nice background with some computer boards and the sound events (windows
startup, shutdown, etc.) are all techy-type and the hourglass cursor is a
mini scrolling computer screen, etc. etc. etc. and the screen saver is
floating chips (corny).

I believe a garage kit is a model you build. Actually a model you build
from very little, takes a long time to do, very very difficult, have to
paint yourself, carve yourself, etc. etc. I think. Watch _Otaku no Video_
to get a detailed explanation (ONV is a satire about otakus and there's this
part about a garage kit nut and he explains the whole thing also it's just a
funny anime to watch).

whew! And i thought I was a lurker...
