I emailed Dark Horse and received a reply that is actually quite

In a followup message sent in response to my request that I quote
the above to the list, I received the following:

Whether this reference to December is the graphic novelization of
previous chapters or is a new series of chapters is left open by the
above.
Still, although far from definitive, the foregoing response is IMO
certainly better than a flat "nevermore"!
