Well, those of you who sounded the alarm that October 1996 had no Oh
My Goddess! issues coming out appear not to have merely cried wolf.  The
November shipping schedule for Dark Horse is up on their web pages
(http://www.dhorse.com/dhonline/ins/96.11/index.html) and there is nary a
trace of Oh My Goddess! at all.  This does not bode well for continuation of
the series.

        I have to wonder--have we not bought out each copy as it came out?
Did it simply not sell well?  Is Toren Smith sick of preparing it each month?

        I question whether Dark Horse will have anything at all in the
future for those of us who like "kawaii" manga.  November's translated manga
offerings include only Usagi Yojimbo, The Legend of Mother Sarah, Gunsmith
Cats, Gamera, and Blade of the Immortal (Spirit of Wonder will also complete
its run before November, and You're Under Arrest finished in July after *8*
issues).  If anyone has any contacts with Dark Horse and Studio Proteus this
may be the time to use them for lobbying purposes.  There is still a *lot*
of AMG left to be translated and brought to a wider audience.

        Here's hoping for a longer run...
