"Content" is a way to put it.  I actually think that Fujishima-sensei just doesn't
know how to deal with romance so he just drops those elements.  However, from time-to-time
he will acknowledge the fans' desire to see more done with the romance.  In
those times, he does have K1 pondering how to get closer to Bell.  Sadly, the results
are never funny or satisfactory.

The current manga storyline is one Fujishima-sensei loves; it deals with drawing "cool"
vehicles for racing and a competition to see who has the best racer.  However, for
this reader (and apparent glutton for punishment), it isn't very interesting.
That's not to say I haven't enjoyed some of these kinds of stories he's produced,
but recently they've been BOOOR-RIING!
