First, I never said anyone "hated" the series (though there are sure to be a few haters
for any series).  ^_^;;;

Second, I never said there wasn't coverage of the series.

AMG-TV runs at midnight in Japan. So I while possible, AMG-TV isn't going to be the
number 1 rated anime among all anime. It's going to have lower numbers from the get-go.
However, if AMG-TV is the highest-rated show in that time slot, that would
help. If AMG-TV has stellar ratings for a midnight airing, that's even better.

Heh! Not trying to jinx it. However, popularity in the US doesn't equate to extra
episodes in Japan. "Bubblegum Crisis 2040" did pretty good in Japan. It spawned
a couple of AWFUL so-called prequel OAVs that just stank the place out. ADV wanted

to do a sequel to "2040" and have been wanting to do so for a couple of years or more.
Result? No movement on the Japanese part to make a sequel.

"Fruits Basket" is a very popular manga in Japan. The anime was also very popular.
The manga and anime in the US are very popular. There's more than enough manga material
to make another 26-episode anime series. There are fans in Japan and America
who want another anime series. Result? The series director stated that the reason
there is no 2nd "Fruits Basket" series is that the sponsors haven't asked for one.

Ultimately, if the Japanese sponsors don't want more AMG-TV, we ain't going to get
any more, no matter how popular it is. After all, the sponsors are the ones paying
for it.

Looking at how Fujishima-sensei's "You're Under Arrest" did (8-volumes of manga, but
TONS of anime including a movie, an OAV series, an OAV spinoff, and three TV series),
I have some hopes for continued episodes beyond 26 for AMG-TV. ^_^

Nope. I live in the US. :-)
