I agree the char design is not as nice as the manga.  Akamatsu mentioned
in his diary that some of the artwork will be cleaned up for the DVD.

I overslept!!  But I did record it so I watched it this morning.

It was not disappointing, which is good given the budget a TV series
must have to work with.

I forgot K1 was born under an unlucky star :)
