Doh! You are right! Must get more sleep...yeah, that's the ticket. ;-)
I do have a rant I'd like to make about AnimEigo though. The first time I watched
the series, I missed that Miyuki's patrol car was called 'Today'. I think the subtitles
listed it once, but otherwise, the name of the car was ignored. I recently
re-watched those DVD's (with a greater understanding of Japanese) and was pissed that
AnimEigo decided to ignore references to the car's name.
I would love for FUNimation to get the 2nd TV series though (for the excellent subtitles).

That's what I call "You're Under Arrest in America". :-)

Unwatchable. I saw the first episode and was just stunned. It was cool seeing 'Today'
as a real vehicle, but Miyuki was very miscast and it went downhill from there.
I asked a Japanese friend about this. He said that many times, producers of live-action
series based on anime-manga don't bother understanding the source material. I had
thought that Fujishima-sensei was involved in the live-action version, but
maybe that wasn't true. It seems hard to believe he'd let it get trashed so badly.
