I'm 33. The first anime I saw were broadcasted on the french
television "Le prince Saphir" (it's Ribbon no kishi). I saw
lots of anime (dubbed and cut, alas) on the tv since then (first one
was in 1974-75, I think).

I left it a little when I went to my university (Engineer School, in fact),
and while I saw some of them after getting my first job, I was a little
tired of the dubbing (very often stupid, alas) and not interested enough
to 'scope them. (I still saw some of them; I remember seeing Nanako SOS
(Super Nana in french) and Dragonball (NOT DragonballZ) before going to work).

Then recently I discovered that there was shops appearing selling anime goods,
manga e.a., and I became quickly hooked again.

As for AMG, I bought my first manga of it (#5) completely at random, at a
book fair that didn't cater in the least to manga/anime (it was the only
manga I saw this day). I guess I was in luck this day, I could have done
worse picking a manga at random than getting an AMG issue!

Now, I've begun dusting up mty japanese, I bought a Nelson character d
dictionnary last week and am trying to translate the titles of the chapters
of AMG - and that's only a start.
