Get rid of the whole "from" chain that tells you what routers the 
message went through, and that it's "bulk", and whatnot.

Then, if you subscribe to the "8 hour digest" or the "24 hour digest" 
get rid of ALL the messages you are NOT specifically answering. If, 
say, Henry Cobb writes something that you want to which you want to 
reply, delete all other messages than his and answer only that in your 
reply window.

That should pass Hitoshi Doi's smell test.
