>Also, the Norn's in Ragnorak have not shown any powers close to
what the AMG sisters have in the way of a battle arsenal.
From the trailer for episode 16, it looks like they get to show their powers
soon. For example, there's a shot of Urd standing in front of a tidal wave
and Loki hacking apart a water monster. Did she conjure it?
I think we can have a better comparison in a few more episodes. So far, the
only power I've seen that would bother an AMG goddess other than Skuld is
Urd's illusion space.
Their characterization could use some work too. Right now, all three sisters
appear interchangable. They act the same and they practically sound the
same. If they're going to get offed in two episodes or so however, then it
wouldn't matter.
>and the "V/B" sibilance seems to be only to appear in Belldandy/Vervandi.
Maybe it's just impossible for the VAs to wrap their tongues around
Verthandi, took me a few times to figure it out myself. Can you imagine the
director saying, "No you cannot pronounce it as 'Belldandy'. I know it's hard
but just try..."
>But all in all it's the best researched work yet on any series that I have
seen that pulls in the Norse mythos.
Certainly looks that way. I'm going to watch from this point on, then decide
if I want to get the earlier episodes.
