Formatting error. There was a newline between your names, but it
seems to have disappeared.

Uh, yes, that's the one I'd mean. I'll make the correction (and
wonder how that reference got in there).

Done.

Good point - there is no rule. There seems to be some kind of social
convention involved which I could mention, but it works just as well
to drop the reference entirely. It's deleted.

Yes, which points out a problem I'm having with the footnotes at the
end of the FAQ. Namely, I have to renumber everything any time I make

a change, and I always mess something up.

Good point. Here's the new Section 4C:

*****

4C. CAN A GODDESS LOSE HER ANGEL?

Yes. However, when an angel is removed from its goddess the process
is
so physically and psychologically painful that the goddess is
rendered
comatose until the angel is returned.[42] Note that the only known
thing capable of forcibly removing an angel against its goddess's
will
is a magical creature called an Angel Eater, of which apparently only
one exists.[43]

It is possible for a goddess to lend her angel to another host.
Lending ones angel does not carry as great a penalty as having it
removed. Apparently, when an angel is lent the goddess retains
consciousness as well as some level of contact and ultimate control
but is greatly weakened, to the point of being unable to stand.[44]
The receiving host may even be a mortal if that mortal is
sufficiently
loved by goddesses. In this case, the strong emotional bonds with the
goddesses support the angel in its mortal host and the mortal
acquires
the ability to cast magical spells through the angel. Not
surprisingly, the greater the trust the mortal has of goddesses, the
more effectively the mortal will be able to use the angel. When the
angel is recalled by its goddess, the separation process is
psychologically draining to the mortal, though not as draining as
when
the goddess lent her angel.[45]

Integrating the footnotes will make things easier on me as well, as
long as I drop sequential numbering. I'm beginning to dread having to
maintain this thing the way I have it now. I'd still like to keep the
footnotes separate from the explanations, though, since I tried it
that way and it muddled things. I'll try it with *'s, unless someone
has a better suggestion.
