Um, that's not what I meant. :) I see what you're saying, but when I said 
that maybe goddesses weren't created from sex as we see it but still had 
parents, maybe there was just a different way that they were conceived.

For example, who's to say that a goddess isn't brought into being through 
song? Assuming the whole father/mother relationship is the same for goddesses 
as it is for us, familially speaking, maybe a goddess' mother and father sing 
her into being, combining their songs?
