There were a few.  I seem to recall that they overlayed
the note where K1 said he had gone to class instead of 
putting it in the subtitle track, and I think I also
remember a couple of fairly inobtrusive translations 
of background lettering...would have to go back and 
watch the film again to note exactly where.

As I said, Pioneer was pretty good about it.  This is 
no Eva disc one.

Not a bad suggestion, but not the problem in this case.  My system is 
Dolby Digital and DTS compatible, and I deliberately selected the 5.1 
Japanese soundtrack off the setup menu.
