She called up friends and collected lots of used highway cards (prepaid
cards for highway fare) with some value left in them.  K1 commented that
the person at the toll booth will hate her...

K1 wanted to call (forget the name, the Japan version of the AAA?), but
none of them is a member and it'll be expensive.  Chihiro told him to wait
and see, and 'This is the way you do things with two beautiful girls
available.'
