Economics had nothing to do with SP/DH dropping
Drakuun. Manabe just never finished it. He got about 2
of the final six issues done, the schedule started to
slip,  and then he moved on to other things. It's now
looking like he won't finish it at all. Check out the
FAQ at http://www.studioproteus.com . Believe me,
SP/DH wanted to finish Drakuun. Now they've been left
in the lurch by Johji Manabe and they will be looking
very closely at which manga they will publish in the
future. They don't want to go through this again.
