Yeah, that's kinda what I thought you were getting at.

I can't imagine Bell-chan saying "May I" and meaning it where K1 is
concerned.  She's already demonstrated that she'll sacrifice this universe
and the good of Heaven for K1.  Still, equating Lum's father to Kami-sama
might go a long way toward explaining Hild/Urd thing.  I'm going to be
really pissed at Kami-sama if he turns out to be their father, though.
Right now he's just a scheming, manipulative bureaucrat .  If he turns out
to be their father, he'll be giving Gendo a run for his money.

Well, other than women (before Bell-chan, that is - now he's some kind of
babe magnet), calling K1 an average japanese loser is kinda stretching it.
He certainly was headed toward a brighter future before Bell-chan than Ataru
was before Lum.  Besides, I really like K1 while Ataru makes my skin crawl!

Still, as you point out, the similarities are remarkable.
