Err, I meant it the other way around.
Takano's dismissive attitude towards K1's abilities vs Ataru's mother's "I
wish I'd never had him" and the way Ataru's father always hides behind the
newspaper vs the Onnaphobia of K1's father.
Comparisons of Lum's father and Kamisama I leave to some future happy
moment when Bell-chan's parentage is confirmed. "Father, may I?"
For those who missed it the first time around, the synopsis of the series
goes:
Mythological girl pounces on average japanese loser, claiming his
selection was by computer. She taunts him into wishing for her then takes
this as an open invitation to move in with him, dragging along the baggage
of her insane life with strange friends, foes, relatives and assorted
supernatural passers by.
