A similar event did happen in the manga, when the exorcist girl showed
up (what was her name, Shiho Sakakibara?) - Shoho seemed to be
interested in K1, and Belldandy basically let loose a jealousy storm
(that she was unaware of) that caused things to break randomly. This
ended up helping, though, as it was powerful enough to blow Garm the
hellhound (accidentally summoned by Shiho) back to where he came from.
