Legend holds that far in the past of anime and manga antiquity when fandom
in the States was consited entirely of twelfth generation dubs of Ranma 1/2
that were so degraded they were black and white that in an issue where they
were having a contest to give away YUA gifts there was a promo strip with
Miyuki and Natsumi praying to a goddess so they could win the contest and
get the cool stuff. The goddess turned out so well, so Fujishima came up
with the idea and Belldandy was born!

Mere mortal Otaku quake at the feet of the great master whose merest
