Majou no takyoubin is one of my all time favourites. I especially liked his
take on a "generic European city" of the time, so many elements, I think he
did a lot of work. Her cat (Ji JI? Can't remember) was delightful. I'm sure
I missed a couple of plot details since like all Miyazaki I've only seen it
in straight Japanese, but I've found the interesting thing about his movies
being that I can show them to people without a word of Japanese to their
knowledge and they can still understand what's going on, such is the quality
of his film-making.
