I was speaking in terms of live action characters. It simply isn't done. It 
works very well for this series, however.

Hmmm. You might be right, there. After all, Belldandy is the female lead, 
not Urodo. Nadia is the only one that rings a bell on this end. Urd, Mihoshi 
(from Tenchi), and Marine (Sabre Marionette J2) come to mind, but not much 
else. Might need some help here from Doi or CuSO4 Person to bring us up to 
speed on dark-skinned female lead characters, other than Nadia.
