That particular gaff belongs to the English-dubbed anime and nowhere else.
At least DH/SP have pretty much settled down to "Almighty" or some
derivative thereof.  You have to give Studio Proteus credit for not putting
words into the characters' mouths on this one major issue.

I have to agree.  Anyone with a fundamental knowledge of Judaism,
Christianity, or Islam can tell the Kami-sama is NOT Yahweh/God/Allah (3
names, same entity).  I would have been kinda upset, myself.  I like
Kami-sama, but he is NOWHERE NEAR that level.  It's not as bad as the dubbed
Anime translating "Kami-sama" as "father", but it's still a mistranslation
if you have a good word for "Kami-sama".  Unfortunately, English doesn't
have such a word.  Hence the use of "Almighty".
